Mass Shooting Reported At Borderline Bar Grill In Thousand Oaks, California

At least six people have been shot after a gunman opened fire at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California, local police said.Officers were called to Borderline Bar Grill in Thousand Oaks at around 11.20pm local time, The Ventura County Star reported.Ventura County Sheriff s Office Capt. Garo Kuredjian said at a news conference early on Thursday that six people were shot, including a sheriff s deputy, and taken to a hospital. He could not immediately provide information on the extent of the victims injuries.Authorities are still treating it as an active shooter scene, the Associated Press newswire reported. It is not known if the gunman was alone.Borderline, which bills itself as the biggest dance floor in town, had been hosting an event called College Country Night when the shooting occurred.A witness told KABC-TV that there were many young people having a great time in the bar when a man entered and started shooting.
