Nova Scotia advocates to tell UN committee of women’s ‘non-state torture’ in Canada


Canada defines torture as a crime committed by individuals working for the state, but nurses Linda MacDonald and Jeanne Sarson said the government needs to amend the Criminal Code to include ‘non-state people’ as well.
