Man In Critical Condition After Being Shot In Home Owned By Comedian Russell Kane

A man has been left fighting for his life after being shot inside a home reportedly owned by comedian Russell Kane. Police were called to an address in Woodford Green, east London on Thursday night following reports of a shooting.According to the Land Registry, the property where the incident took place is owned by Kane, and neighbours say tenants are currently renting out the house.A Met Police spokeswoman confirmed they had been called to the scene on Malvern Drive about 11.10pm on July 11 after reports of a shooting .She said: Officers, armed police and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man in his forties suffering from gunshot injuries. He has been taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition. One resident, who did not want to be named for fear of reprisals, told the Ilford Recorder he believed the shooting was a targeted attack. A guy had gone around the back, shot through the windows at the back - it s like a conservatory, like six times and caught him in the throat. I think a car was waiting for him at the other side. It s definitely targeted. Another local resident, who had lived on the street for 20 years, told the local newspaper he thought the man was going to die. It didn t look good. They were here in the ambulance for a good hour - things took a nasty turn, he said. One man who saw the victim come out of the house on a stretcher told The Sun: I heard a couple of bangs around 11.15pm. We thought they were fireworks until the police and ambulance turned up. Police said no arrests have been made so far and that they are continuing their enquiries.
