T In The Park Is Never Coming Back, Festival Boss Confirms

It s a sad day for UK music festival fans, as it s been confirmed that T In The Park will not be returning. The Scottish festival was last held in 2016, with bosses announcing it was being put on hold after issues at the new site.In the years since, fans have often speculated about whether the festival would ever return but sadly, its organiser Geoff Ellis has shared some disappointing news.Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, he said: It was an amazing festival, but it ran its course. Everyone loved T and we all had great fun doing it You can always look fondly on the past. Adding that T was really the third major festival in the UK , Geoff said: We ve got some great memories we ll always have them and so will all the people who grew up with it. T In The Park was held annually from 1994 to 2016, originally taking place in Strathclyde Park. In 1996, it moved to Balado, Kinross-shire, where it remained until 2014. A move to Strathallan Castle from 2015 and 2016 proved controversial with festival-goers reporting numerous issues with the site, including major traffic congestion. Over the years, hundreds of bands played at T, with The Stone Roses, Pulp, Rage Against The Machine and Radiohead among those to headline. Its organisers are now focussing on TRNSMT, which has been held in Glasgow since 2017. READ MORE...
