Patrick Schwarzenegger The White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger has opened up about his reaction when he first discovered his outrageous storylines in the most recent season.Patrick played eldest Ratliff sibling Saxon in the third season of the award-winning US series, a character who famously had a threesome with his brother during a drug-fuelled night of partying in one jaw-dropping scene.Earlier this year, one exec producer admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that he and the team were worried that either of the actors who played the Ratliff brothers might pull out of the project when they learned more of what was expected of them.“When we sent the scripts to Patrick and Sam, Mike [White, the show’s creator] and I were both like, ‘I hope they don’t drop out’,” David Bernad claimed. “Mike made me text Patrick. We were anxious.”During his own interview with the same outlet published on Monday, Patrick made it clear that was never a possibility.“In what world do you think that I would’ve dropped out of White Lotus?” he quipped, noting that “every actor kind of expects that there’s some crazy shit that’s going to happen on this show”.Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger in The White LotusHe went on to reveal that over the course of him reading the script, he received several panicked texts from the production team wondering if he’d made it to the threesome scene yet.“I was like, ‘Dude, chill. Give me a second. I’m trying to get through them, but I can’t just breeze through. I’m learning about who my character is’,” Patrick recalled.“And then the next day, again, he texted me and by then, finally, I had read it. And I was like, ‘Dude, it gets crazy’. And he was like, ‘I know right?’. And I said, ‘Yeah, it gets insane. It’s hilarious and this thing and this thing…’.”Patrick added: “After that, he never brought up anything else, and I assume it was just because then I went and did my deal. But it never crossed my mind that I would drop out.”While the show was still airing, Patrick’s co-star Charlotte Le Bon suggested that he hadn’t exactly been at ease while shooting a scene in which he had to kiss his on-screen brother, played by Sam Nivola.She claimed: “We all thought he was going to throw up. And Sam was like, ‘It’s fine, it’s just a kiss, calm down!’.”Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola share a kiss in The White LotusPatrick later insisted: “The thing is, that reaction? It’s Saxon.
