Alan Carr and Celia Imrie on BBC s The TraitorsOne of the best things about The Celebrity Traitors this year has been the stars’ reactions to finding out who the “Traitors” are, and Celia Imrie has been no exception.Last night, the Calendar Girls actor was the latest celebrity to be murdered on the show after Alan Carr bumped her off in plain sight when the “Traitors” were tasked with the tricky challenge. Celia had formed a close bond with Alan, with the comedian assuring her he was a “Faithful” multiple times throughout the series, so it’s no surprise that she had a spicy response to discovering he was behind her murder.Appearing on The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, host Ed Gamble handed Celia the scroll revealing the “Traitors”, including Alan, to which she simply responded: “Oh bastard”.Celia Imrie’s reaction finding out Alan Carr is a traitor is as good as you could imagine. #CelebrityTraitors#TraitorsUKpic.twitter.com/I0px8sFQyz Dan Ellis (@dgellis0907) October 30, 2025Tot it up with her fellow iconic moments including that scene-stealing fart and her incredibly evocative banshee wail during a particular task.Celia was also aghast to find out that Cat Burns was a “Traitor” after writing her name down at the second-ever “Round Table”.“Oh my god,” she said. “Honestly, she was my second vote! God dammit, little minx… My instinct was right.”Celia’s murder in plain sight included Alan toasting her by name while saying the Shakespearean line “Parting is such sweet sorrow” in a twist many viewers feared was too obvious for the “Traitor” to pull off.“I don’t remember it at all,” Celia reflected. “The genius of it is Alan bringing Stephen (Fry) into it, because if he’d started sprouting Shakespeare like that I would’ve thought ‘What on earth’s he on about?’ So that was really clever.”The Bridget Jones star admitted that watching her murder back it seemed obvious even though she was none the wiser in the moment.“You just think, ‘What were we thinking about?’ I love that [Alan] laughs at everything…it’s very clever.”Last night’s episode also saw Kate Garraway being banished, cementing next week’s finalists as “Traitors” Alan and Cat alongside “Faithfuls” David Olusoga, Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed.
