Woman is pulled from burning building

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a severe blaze in a ground-floor launderette at an apartment block in Croydon, London, on July 2, authorities said.Firefighters reported that they had rescued one woman from the rear of the building, while a further two adults and one child left the property before emergency services arrived.The blaze destroyed the ground-floor shop and damaged parts of the first and second floors.The cause of the fire is under investigation.This footage shows the fire engulfing the ground floor shop as people run from the scene.In a statement, London Fire Brigade said: Firefighters tackled a severe blaze in a launderette with flats above on Croydon High Street. Firefighters rescued one woman at the rear via a ladder pitched against the first floor flat roof. She was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews. A further two adults and one child left the property before firefighters arrived. The fire destroyed the ground floor shop. The fire also damaged parts of the first and second floor.
