Shirley Ballas at the Pride Of Britain Awards on Monday nightStrictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is standing firm after facing criticism from some viewers over her particularly stingy score for La Voix during last week’s live show.Over the weekend, the Drag Race UK finalist landed the lowest ever marks for a week four performance after her Cha Cha Cha routine went a little awry. While Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke gave La Voix a score of three, four and five, respectively, Shirley was clearly much less impressed, reaching for her two paddle.Since then, the Head Judge has received backlash from some Strictly fans who felt she’d been too harsh, and during a recent interview with Attitude, she had some words of advice for La Voix.“Remember your choreography, love,” Shirley said. “I love you, but remember your choreography.”Aljaž Škorjanec and La Voix performing their Cha Cha Cha over the weekendEven Craig conceded that his fellow judge had been “a bit rough” on La Voix, telling the magazine: “My jaw was dropping. I thought it was at least worth a three.“I did feel for La Voix because it sort of went horribly wrong from the moment she set off on the stage. Apparently, she had a fantastic rehearsal.”The Strictly Come Dancing judges earlier in the seriesOn Monday, La Voix attended the Pride Of Britain awards out of drag, joking: “La Voix is not here, sadly. She’s still furious about Saturday night, with Shirley Ballas giving her a two, she’s refusing to even show face.”Fortunately for La Voix, despite being at the bottom of Saturday’s leaderboard, she garnered enough public support to save herself from the dance-off.In the end, Chris Robshaw was sent home after winding up in the bottom two alongside Balvinder Sopal, with Craig casting the deciding vote. This year marks the first time that different members of the panel have had the chance to break a tie each week, which has previously been the responsibility of the Head Judge in past years.Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 6.20pm on BBC One.MORE STRICTLY:A Third Celebrity Has Now Pulled Out Of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 On Medical GroundsThomas Skinner Explains Why He Wishes He d Never Done Strictly Come DancingDianne Buswell Hits Back After Hurtful Comment About Her Competing On Strictly While Pregnant
