Sabrina Carpenter Hits Out At White House For Using Her Song In Disgusting Video

Sabrina CarpenterSabrina Carpenter has hit out at US president Donald Trump’s administration after the White House used her song to soundtrack a video she has described as “evil and disgusting”.On Monday evening, the official White House X account shared a clip featuring a montage of ICE deportation videos, accompanied by a snippet of Sabrina’s song Juno.“Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye,” the post’s caption read, in a nod to the lyrics of Juno, alongside emojis of a waving hand and a smiling face with hearts for eyes.Responding on the same platform on Tuesday afternoon, the Grammy winner wrote: “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”Donald Trump in the oval office last monthOf course, the Man’s Best Friend singer is far from the only artist to have taken issue with the Trump administration (both the first and second time around) for using their music without permission.Back in July, British singer Jess Glynne found herself in a similar position to Sabrina when the White House posted an ICE deportation montage using the “Jet2 holiday” trending sound, which incorporated her song Hold My Hand.“This post honestly makes me sick,” she responded. “My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity – never about division or hate.”Jess Glynne speaks out against The White House after they used her song, included in Jet 2 Holidays’ adverts, for a video of deportations:
