US President Donald Trump speaks in the Oval Office on August 14, 2025Donald Trump has his own back. The president got meta on his social media network, Truth Social, by sharing and commenting on a post that praised the president for his hard work.  The post showed a photo of Trump looking tired, with a tie undone around his neck, and a “Make America Great Again” hat in his hand. “I want to thank Donald Trump for working like a dog for no money to save a Country that doesn’t appreciate his sacrifice! Thank you Mr President,” the unattributed post read. Trump shared the post on Monday, and thanked himself for doing such a great job. “Thank you. Big progress for America being made!” he said. In terms of the progress Trump is talking about, he seems to be focused on construction updates regarding two of his current projects — the “Trump Kennedy” Center and the forthcoming White House ballroom. “The new TRUMP KENNEDY, whoops, I mean, KENNEDY CENTER, columns, beautifully painted in a luxuriant white enamel color, replacing the fake looking gold paint that was there for years,” he wrote on Truth Social, also on Monday.“Many major improvements are being made, including seating, carpeting, wall coverings, ceilings, chandeliers, stages, heating and A/C, etc., to what will soon be the finest Arts and Entertainment Center anywhere in the World,” he said, including his unique capitalization, telling followers to “Come see for yourself.” “We are remaining fully open during construction, renovation, and beautification. I am doing the same thing to the United States of America, but only on a ‘slightly’ larger scale!” he said. Trump has also demolished the entire East Wing of the White House to make room for his $300 million ballroom, which he recently denied he’ll name after himself.“I don’t have any plan to call it after myself, that was fake news,” he said while speaking with reporters on Friday night. “Probably gonna call it the Presidential Ballroom or something like that.
