The cast of the hit BBC series Riot WomenSince it premiered earlier this month, Riot Women has become one of the most talked-about British dramas of the year (which, when you consider that 2025 has given us the likes of The Hack, Dept Q, Toxic Town, MobLand and the juggernaut that was Adolescence, is saying something). The latest offering from Sally Wainwright, the Bafta-winning creative mind behind hit shows like Gentleman Jack, Last Tango In Halifax and Happy Valley, the BBC series centres around a group of women approaching old age, who decide to channel their collective resentments into putting together a punk rock band. After the BBC made the decision to make all of the episodes available to stream at once on iPlayer, many people will by now have finished the lot, and considering how well-received Riot Women has been, speculation has naturally turned to whether or not a second run could be on the cards.Well, the bad news is, there’s no word just yet, and because the show is still airing weekly on BBC One (for those who prefer their drama staggered out, rather than all at once), there could be a bit of a wait before there’s any official announcement. The good news, though, is that the cast seem pretty up for it.Riot Women stars Lorraine Ashbourne, Rosalie Craig, Joanna Scanlan, Amelia Bullmore and Tamsin GreigSpeaking to Radio Times this week, cast member Rosalie Craig – who plays Kitty in the show – said that the last episode “definitely doesn’t feel final”.“I know that there’s a great will to have another season,” she claimed, insisting: “I’m certainly not done with Kitty, so I’d like to have another go at that.”Considering the dramatic revelations in the season finale, the Olivier nominee also has ideas for what future episodes could explore.“[Kitty will] always find a way to solve things – but they just might be in a really, really unexpected way,” she explained.“There’s absolutely a second, third, fourth chance. You can reinvent yourself. You can start again.”Rosalie Craig as Kitty in Riot WomenFor now, though, the first season of Riot Women is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.Alternatively, episodes are also airing weekly on Sunday nights at 9pm on BBC One.MORE TV NEWS:Critics Are All Saying The Same Thing As The Diplomat Returns For Season 3Meghan Markle Weighs In On The Future Of Her Controversial Netflix SeriesI Thought This Would Be Celebrity Traitors Biggest Flaw – But It s Actually Changed The Game
