(Photo by Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP, File)It’s fair to say that Taylor Swift’s latest album Life Of A Showgirl has had a mixed response from both fans and critics since it was released last week. But while Taylor’s new release has had a bit of a Marmite effect, it doesn’t seem like the Fortnight singer is losing sleep over those who do not “get” her new offering, and even those who actively dislike her new work.Appearing on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show on Tuesday, Taylor insisted: “I welcome the chaos.”She claimed: “The rule of show business is if it’s the first week of my album release and you are saying my name or my album title, you are helping.”“I’m not the art police. Everybody is allowed to feel exactly how they want,” Taylor added. This isn’t the first time Taylor has responded to what people have been saying about her while promoting The Life Of A Showgirl, though.Back in August, Taylor and her fiancé Travis Kelce shared their engagement news with a sweet post on Instagram, which quickly led some fans to speculate as to whether tying the knot with Travis would affect her musical output.During an interview with BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills, the presenter asked whether The Life Of A Showgirl might be Taylor’s “last” album based on fan theories that have been flying around, to which she responded: “That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say.”“It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job,” she insisted. “I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do, and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music.“That’s the coolest thing about Travis. He’s so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do, it connects. There’s no point in time where he’s going to be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making music’. Imagine – ‘the music that I signed up for, that I knew you love, I thought you were going to stop doing that…’”READ MORE:This Is What Taylor Swift Had To Say About That Rumoured Charli XCX Diss Track Taylor Swift Fans Voice Disappointment Over Alleged AI Use In Videos To Promote New Album9 Subtle Details And Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed In Taylor Swift s The Fate Of Ophelia Video
