It Sure Looks Like RFK Jr. Doesn’t Know What A Placenta Is

Kennedy Jr., who claimed during a cabinet meeting on Thursday to have just seen a video of a pregnant woman “saying ‘F Trump’ and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta.”Except foetuses don’t develop in the placenta. They develop in the uterus.Kennedy’s description of the video aligns with a widely circulated clip of a woman who says she’s 28 weeks pregnant taking Tylenol, but it appears the health secretary made up some key differences:1. Contrary to Kennedy’s claim, the woman in the video never says “F Trump,” and, in fact, never mentions Trump at all.2. The woman takes one Tylenol, which hardly qualifies as “gobbling” them.Health and Human Services didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment confirming if it was the same video or clarifying the extent of Kennedy’s knowledge of the reproductive system.Kennedy made the anatomically inaccurate boast while seeking to flatter President Donald Trump by accusing the pregnant mother of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” which is not a real disease, but a popular shield used by Republicans to avoid having to actually defend Trump’s policies.RFK Jr: #34;Somebody showed me a TikTok video of a pregnant woman at 8 months pregnant -- she #39;s an associate professor at the Columbia Medical School -- and she is saying #39;F Trump #39; and gobbling Tylenol with her baby in her placenta. The level of Trump Derangement Syndrome is now a pathology. #34; Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com)2025-10-09T16:56:20.350Z“The level of Trump Derangement Syndrome … is now in the realm of a pathology,” said Kennedy, who accused the mother of letting it “overwhelm millions of years of maternal instinct, to put her baby at risk.”In another surreal moment during the meeting, the health secretary gravely warned that circumcision leads to autism because of Tylenol, apparently because children are given Tylenol after the procedure.“There are two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism,” RFK Jr. told a room full of the president’s most senior leaders. “It’s highly likely because they are given Tylenol.”The health secretary later conceded that there’s no evidence Tylenol causes autism, but assured Trump that “we’re doing the studies to make the proof.”At Kennedy’s direction, and absent any solid science, Trump last month claimed acetaminophen (commonly known as Tylenol) use during pregnancy may be linked to autism, strongly discouraging its use.Professional medical organizations, ranging from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to the American Psychiatric Association, refuted Trump’s allegations.
