Rebecca Ferguson Insists She s Not The Only One Who Had A Sh**ty Time With Co-Star Who Screamed At Her

Rebecca FergusonRebecca Ferguson is reflecting on an interview she gave last year lambasting an undisclosed co-star for their unacceptable behaviour on set.In early 2024, the Dune actor gave an interview on the podcast Reign With Josh Smith, she hit out at one “absolute idiot of a co-star”, who “screamed at” her on a crowded set.“Because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me,” she claimed. “So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.”Rebecca added that the unnamed performer would make remarks to her in front of the film’s crew, such as “you call yourself an actor?” and “this is what I have to work with?”.In the end she told the co-star in question to “F-off”, even though she was “so scared” to do so, and assured them she would complete the rest of her scenes alone, and have the production team add them in digitally afterwards. While she ruled out that the person in question was Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman, she refused to give any more information, leading to something of an international guessing game (with both Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt ruling themselves out of their own accord).During an interview with The Times published last week, Rebecca was asked if the actor in question was aware that she had been discussing their conduct.“I don’t care,” she insisted, pointing out that “other people who have worked with this person also had a shitty time”. She added: “I will shove someone under a bus in front of an entire crew to make a point. I don’t applaud my own behaviour in that. It’s a really tricky world.“We put a lot of blame on bullies and when we get older we can understand that people are insecure. When you start standing up for yourself, it’s really tricky. They’ll fire you and give the job to someone else.”Months after her original podcast interview, Rebecca claimed she’d heard from several people who’ve worked with her in the past.Read her full interview in The Times here.MORE FILM NEWS: That s Not OK : Harris Dickinson Opens Up About Feeling Objectified After Erotic Thriller BabygirlColin Farrell Sets The Record Straight About The Future Of His Penguin Character The Worst Film Of The Year : Critics Pull No Punches In Scathing Reviews For Tron: Ares
